Blakeney is one of the most exciting villages on the North Norfolk coast. Local leisure activities include sailing, walking and ornithology. The town of Holt lies to the south and the village is about 25 miles from the County city of Norwich. With the Norfolk Broads within easy reach of Blakeney, it is ideally placed for a wide variety of interests.
The school was built in 1863 in traditional materials and re-modelled in 1976.
It is well equipped and in good order throughout. All classrooms and corridors
are carpeted and the building is protected by a modern fire alarm system.
The playground is of tarmac construction with a bicycle shed near the gate and
seated pergola quiet area at the upper end. The Plantation, a wooded area adjacent
to the school, is being developed for games and as a teaching resource.
We aim to create a happy, Christian environment in which children and adults alike can flourish.
Blakeney VA School is a place where:
Children develop moral values and spiritual awareness to prepare them for their future. Children learn through participation in a stimulating and challenging creative curriculum. Staff and Governors commit to developing the expressive learning potential of every child and aim for high standards.
