The Association works to provide and assist in the provision of facilities to advance the education of pupils and to support the staff at school functions. Membership is automatic for parents of children at the school and for school staff. Members of the public who are interested in the school, and who would like to help in the work of the Association, are very welcome to join as Friends. There is no charge for membership. Officers and committee are elected at the beginning of each school year, and any parent with a child at school may hold office. 
There are many activities throughout the year enjoyed by children and PTFA supporters alike. These have included dances, bingo, beetle drives, fun runs and race nights. More recently the PTFA raised in excess of £25,000 to purchase a new school minibus and was a finalist in the National Confederation of Parent Teacher Association's Awards for their amazing fundraising.
On New Year's Day 2008 a number of hardy souls braved the drizzle to leap into the Quay to raise money for our school. We were thrilled by the fantastic support that we received and have made over £5,000!
